Wbeadlescomb Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Picked up one of these crankbaits the other day and within the first few casts the bill just fell out. Has anyone had a problem with these baits? Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted April 10, 2016 Super User Posted April 10, 2016 nope. it's a fantastic crankbait. You most likely got a defected one. Call Spro and I'm sure they will take care of you. Otherwise you could probably just glue the bill back in /w a light coat of adhesive. Just make sure the bill is completely flush back in the slot or it may not run correctly w/o a ton of tuning. I'll give them a call tomorrow. I just feel like If I'm paying that much for a crankbait I shouldn't be having that problem Quote

Spro will probably step up and take care of you in a situation like this. Quote

It's inevitable. Sucks you got one of the few but SPRO will almost certainly take care of you. 3 Quote

I agree doesn't matter what it is when they are mass produced there are variances and sometimes a lemon gets past quality control. This why I chuckle at the comments sometimes seen about how such and such is worth every penny they are perfect. When one out of 20000 MAY be perfect the other 19999 fell within tolerance and hopefully none of those did like the OPs. It's obvious the people who have never been on a assembly line. Quote

brown12687 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 There are several reviews on TW that comment about a lack of quality control with these baits. (Bills falling out, dont run true and need to be tuned right out of the box) For a $12 there should be very few negative comments about quality control issues. That being said, yesterday I picked up 4 at Gander Mountain. Quote
BassThumb Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I've never seen a crankbait model yet that doesn't have a few duds, not even the LC Pointer. For what it's worth, all my Little Johns work flawlessly and catch fish, too. Quote
