kenny@fishoceanseast Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I'm fishing lakes where most of the fish spawned on the last full moon or earlier. Since then the water temp has dropped and the bass have been uncooperative. I know post spawn is tough, and these lakes are hammered by anglers, but I'd like to hear some suggestions. Average depth 5ft, clarity...stained....Thanks Quote
Fishin' Fool Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Regardless of fronts there will always be fish needing to eat. Target the active ones with a squarebill or chatterbait. Quote
"hamma" Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Id try a 4 inch finesse worm, or a 3 inch grub,....allowing the cover to dictate the technique. typical inactive methods Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted April 9, 2016 Super User Posted April 9, 2016 With the males left on the beds (perhaps guarding fry) looking for the females is a decent plan. As the big mamas vacate the shallows and head toward deeper water, they often stop at the first or nearest cover to rest and feed. They're famished after the spawning ordeal and receptive to a several presentations. Fish what your confident in. Heavy fishing pressure may prompted a downsize of your bait and checking out spots outside backwater spawning areas could pay off. A-Jay 1 Quote
