I'm looking at picking up a backpack style tackle bag. I really like the looks and price of the TW brand but it's listed out until August. Anybody have one that is similar to that size and price. I believe it was around $60 off the top of my head. Thoughts on that style tackle bag also. I'm a non-boater so I thought it would free up my hands more.

Have you considered a waistband pack. Thats what I use, a backpak seems like it would be too hot in the summer months.

It's not for shore fishing just transporting my tackle bag to the boaters boat. I've got alot of stuff lol.

Tw tackle bag has some flaws but still better than most bags.

Personally if it just used for that, id stick with a tackle bag and use the shoulder strap if it has one :)

Is that the Okuma backpack from TW? That link doesn't work.

Yes.  It's $59.99.

if you don't need all the fancy pockets and any of the plano trays that come with it...  a normal old backpack works just as well.  i have an old jansport bag that does the trick for me.

I was looking at that one last night. I still really like the looks of the TW bag but backordered until August is crazy.

Yeah, that's way too long to wait for something.  I'd go crazy.

You could always go to the surplus store and just get a generic green army duffel and chuck your stuff in there with plenty of room to spare!

I use the Bass Pro shops extreme qualifier 360 and it works really well. Holds up to 10 3600 size boxes and other pockets for all your tools. I personally have 6 3600 boxes in the top and put my soft plastics in the bottom compartment.

This is the one I have. I just switched to this bag from a 3700 sized Plano shoulder bag that held 4 3700 boxes. I still had to attach a worm binder and a smaller Plano bag to it with carabiner clips so I could take along all my plastics.

Switching to this backpack has been great. I've got 10 3600 sized boxes, including two 3600 sized spinnerbait boxes. I've moved all my plastics and my worm binder into the big Plano bag and I've attached it to the BPS backpack with carabiners. So much easier now to bank fish.

There is a BPS Browning backpack that is on sale for $30. Looks like it is pretty heavy duty and can store a lot of tackle. I don't see it online, but it is in the sales flyer that was mailed to me.

I use this one and it has held up well.  I mainly use it for fishing out of other people's boats and it transports well and stores out of the way when making runs.

Funny the TW bag was in stock a couple of days ago when I was looking. I ended up getting a Plano duffle style bag. The 3700 m series. Should be here next week. It will hold 8 3700 style boxes. Comes with 4. I currently have a jansport backpack with ziploc bags that separate my baits and terminal tackle. Tired of being a hobo on my buddies boat with my tackle strung out everywhere. Looks like a good bag of your not %100 set on a backpack style

I bought a SpiderWire backpack in '11. It's still in excellent shape. What I like best about it is the two rod holders. I use Plano half height boxes instead of the SpiderWire, I can get two more in the bag & sort my toys better.
