Looser fitting wicking long sleeves are the best.  Lighter colors stay cooler also fwiw.

I just got one that I believe is a Columbia button down style fishing shirt w vents, and only got it because it was on clearance.  Gander mtn has nice ones too, you've just got to be patient and wait for a sale as they are expensive pretty much everywhere.

I thought about one of those, and I wouldn't mind having some logos of my favorite fishing products companies to show my support, but I kept reading about having "permission" or "authorization" to have these logos. Same with the bass resource jerseys. I'm not sponsored by anyone lol.

If you use their stock logos you do not need permission from any company. I had to get permission to use non-stock company logos for the sponsors we have for our club. But all they did was and in their company logo via email and that was a good enough permission to add them to our jerseys.

I never replied with what I wear!  As a shore guy I use waterproof boots or light hiking shoes depending on conditions, a pair of convertable hiking/outdoor pants for my legs (same ones year round, they stay dry and cool and are UPF rated, and I never use the convertable feature), a polyester "dri" shirt (various brands, I wear these to the gym and they keep my cool and dry and I think some are UPF rated and there's Nike, Russell, Champion, Oakley, Simms, Under Armour, Adidas, generic brand all mixed), a Buff neck gaiter that I usually have pulled up over my neck and ears, sunglasses, and a boonie hat.  I also use sunscreen on my arms face and neck as after a full day I can feel some UV burn on my neck area if I don't use extra sunscreen.  I'm pretty paranoid about the sun and make sure I'm always covered and try to fish while standing in shade whenever possible.

I like to wear these, but I am south Texas and burn easy. Not to hot and I like the built in buff and the thumb hole in sleeves protect the back of your hands.

I'm often out there in my cargo shorts, flip flops, Iron Maiden t-shirt, and my Tigers cap.

Lots of options for me to look at guys! Thanks for the replies. I'm really liking the look of the fish hide and huk stuff. That's a bit more suited to my style than the button ups, but if I can find one of those button ups for cheap (on sale) I may have to get one.

i scored some real deals on some columbia shirts and hoodies at a columbia outlet store close by.  if you have one around you that you know of, might be worth checking out.  if you're looking to wear them as your sun protection, i would get one that has a reputation for working and not to cheap out necessarily...  skin cancer ain't cheap from what i hear.

Cool! There's some Tanger outlets in Pigeon Forge that are pretty close by. I may have to make my way up there and stop by Bass pro on the way :-)

These look awesome, I might have to get one.  I bought Simms sunsleeves for my arms but never get around to wearing them because I have enough pieces to put on as it is.  This piece would cover shirt, sleeve, hands, neck, head all in one go and I like some of the nice neutral colors they offer.

I wear Huk, Columbia, and Cabela's guidewear.

Recently moved to Tx and will be placing a TW order. And in that order is gonna be a bunch of sun protection gear as I currently own none. Wish a local store carried some as u never know how some companies sizes run, I'm between LG XL. I love all the camo stuff, HUK, Under Armor, Simms ect. A local ma and pa bait store by me has these awesome Lew's jerseys that are made for the sun, they have the Lew's emblem on them in black, shirt is silver w long sleeves. Very soft and light for only  $25!  Want to order a pair of the Simms sun gloves, not the guide series. Does anyone own these? How do they hold up and fit?

I had a chance to get out on the water today and the Haines Cool Dry long sleeve shirts with UPF protection seemed to be ok. They are very thin but I didn't get burnt through it and it allowed for plenty of air flow. I may have to pick up a bunch more of the.

I have about 6 pairs of the simms sun gloves and love them.  Super comfortable.  I've been able to get about 2 seasons out of a pair and I fish a lot.

Cool thanks man, have u seen the guide series and tried them on by chance?

Talking about gloves. Buff makes some great gloves. I really enjoy Simms clothing but I have to say the buff gloves I like better.

Haven't tried them but they look way more durable with the full palms.  I imagine they would be a little warmer though.  Sierratradingpost has the guide gloves for a pretty good price.

I have some Simms sun gloves with the open palm and finger loops (20348-48243b4ba3cc1403a774dc5c20e36db2.j) and to be honest they feel weird and I don't like them.  I got some of the basic Phenix open finger gloves instead (0fingers.png) and I MUCH prefer these.

Fruit of the Loom pocket T-shirt, raggedy old jeans, wide-brimmed hat and Adidas sneakers. Abu Garcia hoodie if it's cold.

Nothin' fancy.

sun protection, Columbia or BPS and a straw hat.

Cool and dry, now that is not possible in MS summers.
