At a local shop he has a few things on clearance.   He has the Chronarch E for 115 each and he has three of them.  One each ratio, he also has a Gen 1 Cumara at 120 bucks.  I could buy them all, but after experiencing the Metanium 13, I'm not sure if I want to buy the Es.  What would you do?  It's so hard to not get on these good deals.   Part of me says get them!  Another part of me says no way, the will just sit. I'd regret buying them instead of just spending the money on another metanium this time the new version.  Ahh dang monkey get off my back!  I guess I'm looking for someone to be the voice of reason.  ?

Well, the E Series are great reels, but I would suggest buying what you REALLY want.

This is what happens during a long winter.  I spend most of my $$$$ when I'm not actually fishing.

Buy the Chronarchs and Cumara, sell the 3 Chronarchs and basically get a Cumara with a lifetime warranty for free along with some extra spending money.

I also have a problem passing up good deals.  The result is that I have way too many rods and reels....yet hate the thought of selling even one.  I am trying to resist buying just because it is a good deal.  So far I haven't succeeded 100%.  I put it off, and am sometimes saved by someone else buying the item before I cave.

What size Chronarch E?

They are 200s if they were 50s I would've bought them already.

So I bought them all but unfortunately he raised the prices from 115 to 140.  He said it was a "sale price".  Either way, they are NIB and considering the craze and possible future value I bought them anyway.  I bought the last three right handed (5,6,7 ratio).  Needed a new crankbait reel so hey bonus.  I also bought the cumara for 110. You guys are a great help thanks!

Being in sporting goods retailing (in one way or another for over 30 years)  I have this love/hate relationship with the "American male sporting goods consumer". So I'll leave this one alone...
