Where should you have the magnetic breaks set when first setting the spool tension knob? I think they should be set to 0 but wanted your opinion.

You are correct. Magnetic brakes should always be turned off before adjusting the spool tension.

I love all of Glenn's videos, but this one had me doing a double-take.  Glenn refers to a centrifugal brake as "the pin kind," while referring to the spool tension adjustment as "the centrifugal brake."  I'm kind of surprised nobody has mentioned it...

Anyway, I shouldn't be nit-picking; Glenn's videos are fun to watch and very informative.  They are absolute gold for a beginning bass fisherman or a seasoned casual bass fisherman who wants to take his game to a new level.  He sure comes across as a very nice, friendly, helpful guy (which I'm convinced he surely is!).

I was thinking the same thing. Centrifugal breaks pins would only engage and apply braking as the spool spins fast enough to engage them.  Spool Tension is constant. Maybe we've been wrong this whole time.

It's been corrected over, and over, and over, and over again, and in the description of the video, and then again about 4 dozen times in the comments section of the video page on Youtube.

I'm surprised people are still mentioning it, given it's mentioned and corrected dozens of times.
