Looking at my 2nd purchase of a NRX in a short period. Good price! I was looking at getting another 872s. It seems to be the perfect spinning rod for Michigan's big lakes and clear water. Anybody have anything to say good, bad or indifferent? My only hesitation is I have not fished with the first rod yet. Feels awesome though.

Doubt you can go wrong with a NRX.  What is this "good price" you speak of?

If you thought somebody here was going to try to talk you out of a tackle purchase, well, you've picked the right last name.

sorry man, couldn't resist.

Haha. I thought this sounded like a desperate cry for help, as I myself often employ the same tactic.

"Well I asked for advice and no one tried to talk me out of it, sooooooooo... my hands are tied here."

You all were no help in my moment of weakness. Now I have to go with the story the Baitmonkey had a gun to my head.

That is why I haven't pulled a trigger on a NRX yet.  I'm afraid of what would happen next.
