Rand Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I am looking for a rod for toads and another for hollow body frogs. Hit me with some ideas. I am trying to save $ but def need something for each technique unless yall have one rod in mind! South of $200 for sure. I know this limits me but that's where I'm at Thx Randy Quote
Airman4754 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Powell makes a 735 that is well regarded. My favorite is the Lamiglas Pro-X 735. It's $225, but it's a great one for soft and hollow frogs. Quote
Rand Posted March 30, 2016 Author Posted March 30, 2016 Thanks Mosster47. Trick Worms I don't need 2 rods if i could find one to handle both. Quote
Blues19 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I use a 7' MH mojo Bass. Its a pretty strong rod. I really feel like I can horse them out of the cover. Its a rod I am very happy with. Its a bit tip heavy, but since I am keeping the rod tip down its not a really huge downside Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted March 31, 2016 Super User Posted March 31, 2016 More expensive rods have come and gone from my boat, but my bar none most favorite frog rod of all time...........is cheap. The Berkley Lightning Rod Shock in 7' MH..........it's one rod that has survived my constant purges of St Croix's, Kistlers, Fenwicks, and the list goes on. Quote
