So I just saw Batman Vs. Superman.  I know the reviews have been bad but I've been hearing about this film for a year now.  So it was more of an event than a film.

The reviewers are right.  This film is not good.  The best I can say - it's not horrible.  Its watchable if you have two hours and thirty minutes to spend.  This thing was way too long.  It had no pacing.  I thought the actors and actresses did a good job but the directing and editing/pacing were off.

So if you want to see this then go ahead but don't expect to have much fun.  I would say wait till it's at Red Box.

By the way - Ben Affleck is pretty good as Batman.  He's shown as sort of growing a little older now and some what unhinged/crazed by Superman.

Warner Brothers and DC have been really falling far behind Marvel when it comes to super hero movies movies.

It looks like this summer is going to be dominated with super hero films.  Should be fun.

Waiting for X-men Apocalypse and Suicide Squad. Heard S vs B was kind of a rip off. Director used a stupid trick (won't spoil it for anybody) that made the movie look interesting in the trailers but messed up in the movie.

The Batman movies got too dark and heavy for my tastes.  They never lightened up.  The series that came out with Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Jim Carrey, Arnold, etc., were full of comic relief to contrast with the dark side.  Not so much with those starring Christian Bale.  Those just got darker and darker.  The third was brutal to watch.  For me, it was unwatchable.

All the teasers I've seen for Batman vs. Superman, or vice versa, gives me the impression that the entire film was shot on a cloudy, rainy, moonless night.

Bring back the good old days when night scenes were shot in broad daylight complete with shadows by simply under developing the film.

The Indiana Jones movies had plenty of gore, blood, and brutality, but they also had comic scenes to lighten them up. The scene of the fellow flashing and swirling the scimitar, threatening Indy.  Indy looked at him, shrugged pulled out a pistol and dispatched the villain, followed by a gesture that indicates how simple it was.

Now, it seems the more ponderous these films are the better.

In the world of super heroes there are only two real super heroes: Batman and Ironman.

Why ? because none has super powers, both are humans.

The only "super hero power" both characters have is super heavy cash filled wallet so they can afford to have the coolest and most expensive toys.

Didn't Afleck already play a superhero in a movie that bombed?

Yes, then he married the costar and cheated on her with the nanny in front of Tom Brady

Hollywood... No wonder there are fewer and fewer great actors.  Who wants to be involved in that filth.

Thanks for the info.  Guess I will wait for B vs S to come to On Demand.

It was an alright movie, nothing more than alright.

It was waaaaaaay under my expectations, pretty disappointing but I still enjoyed going to see it.
