Siebert Outdoors Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 What should I build next? I'm bored and wondering what I should make next. Spinnerbait, some type of jig color that I can, a crazy color of something. Any ideas? PS, I dont have an airbrush for cranks. Quote
bowfish12 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 You need to make me about a dozen mop jigs. ;D Seriously though, I'll hit you up next month with what I want so you can bring them down during the road trip. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 17, 2011 Super User Posted February 17, 2011 You look like you need a good buzzbait, GMAN... I just finished a couple of spinnerbaits for me and the little guy last weekend and now he wants a buzzbait. So I guess I'll be putting a couple together on Saturday after his hockey game. Good luck Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Now that is one thing I've been kicking around about trying. I've never built one. The thing is. Do I build a 3 blade, 2 blade, ETC. I dont even throw them that often. LOL Excellent idea. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 17, 2011 Super User Posted February 17, 2011 Just be careful with the blade, different size blades for different head weights. Janns pretty much tells you what blades go where. I have 2-wing delta blades for 1/4 oz buzzbaits, rivets and beads I can send down to you if you want? I have more than I'll ever use, so you can have a few. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 cool thanks!! I'm going to start looking at blades and such. All black buzzbait or black and gold sounds really cool. Ahh crap. ;D Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 Well, Jigfishn10 talked me into a few buzzbaits and I'm also going to work on some bluegill spinnerbaits. Give me awhile and I'll have these done and post them up. I've got some parts ordered up. Bmadd, I'll try on that robot but no guarantees. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 18, 2011 Super User Posted February 18, 2011 Looking forward to seeing them, GMAN, especially that bluegill spinnerbait. I may have to make 1 of those bluegills up before my season starts. Quote
SENKOSAM Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 fishingskirts.com has an incredible selection of skirt patterns (many of which LC sells). I've changed from basic black for jigs and white or chartreuse for spinnerbaits to barb wire and fish scale patterns. You could make unique looking baits every day for 50 years! Too bad - I still have a bunch of living rubber laying around. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Well, just a little update since I made this post. I know have alot of stuff on my plate. Buzzbaits I'm working on Spinnerbaits I'm working on Some new jigs I'm working on I ordered all the stuff so once its in I'll start making them up. Quote
lynyrdsky1 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Have you thought about trying some jigs or spinnerbaits with Trokar hooks? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Yup, I think I was one of the first with a jig and trokar hook combo. Did that one along time ago. 8-) Quote
