There are a massive amount of Trigger x swim and stick baits at my local surplus store for 1.99 a bag.  Checked out trigger x's site and they don't even have the same products any more.  Now all I see are smaller baits with all these vibrant colors which don't interest me at all.  I'm guessing they were not all that successful??? Anybody have any experience with the flutter worm or slop hopper?

They used to make bass plastics. I have a bunch of them I bought from a member on here. I let other people use them. If you do your part they will do theirs. They wouldn't be my first choice, but if they are cheap you can't really go wrong.

I have used trigger x numerous times in the salt with virtually no success (two redfish total).. even putting it right on the nose of sighted up redfish it got rejected the vast majority of the time.. You don't hear a whole lot of hubbub about trigger x and there is probably a good reason for that.. but at that price I would say buy one bag and if you have success with them, go back and stock up..

On the Rapala website they only show Trigger X panfish baits, so it looks like they have stopped making bass and walleye plastics.  I've used Trigger X grubs and worms and caught fish on them.  As Mosster47 said, "if you do your part they will do theirs".

Not sure why they stopped making plastics for bass and walleye but if they were profitable they probably wouldn't have stopped...  Maybe only the Lindners were using them and they were getting them for free?  ha-ha

I believe they stopped making alot of their line..They did have a decent line up of bio baits for bass fishing..Stick worms, Craws, Frogs, Swimbait, Ribbon tails etc...I don't think I ever really used them but I used to always see them on the Linder Fishing show as a sponser, and they are always using Rapala VMC products, so Trigger X was always on their rods for Bass, Walleye, or saltwater...

I noticed the last time I saw the show they were using BIg Bite baits, so I think they cut back on the Trigger X Phermone bio bait line for Bass and also for Saltwater...I have not seen any new stuff around at all, it used to be on the shelves..

I am pretty sure they made a good bait...It is pretty much like Gulp, I am pretty sure their Swimbait was popular, and that big Ribbon Tail worm used to get some talk....I tried the Frog and didn't like it, same with the stick worms but I found some old green bags and they were half dried up when I purchased them. If packages are sealed they could be a good deal. I think they had some decent designs but for some reason they never were really popular down here in Freshwater, the shrimp and flukes were sold for saltwater however....I would imagine they work fine if sealed.

As others have said it appears the bass line of baits are no longer in production. I've used both sizes of tube baits they offer with good success. For $2 a bag its worth buying a few to try. Even the Linder family has switched from Trigger X to Big Bite Baits this past year or so.

I bought 5 bags to try out.  Worst case scenerio I'm out 10 bucks.

I used to love the trigger X big moe. It was a lizard with wide legs and tail. Think extra wide egg noodles lol. I used to think hey they have fish pheromones then they must be cutting edge and one of the top tier brands. I remember maybe a year ago trying to find their jerk type lure but never got them. Now my last few packs of lizards I will use wisely. ^_^

Trigger X baits have always felt really firm in the bag to me, with very little of the pliability I look for in plastics!  But let us know how they work out for you!

The Trigger X 5" Spade Tail Worm was a killer on a 1/16oz or 1/8oz shaky head in stained water and the Big Moe Lizard was one of the best C-rig baits I tried but not much experience from the other baits.

Trigger x has been discontinued. Rap aka is no longer perusing it.

There's something wrong with those plastics. It's no wonder they folded. They stiffened up badly in water any colder than 70 degrees, it seemed. Forget about 55 degrees. I've never seen another soft plastic bait do that so distinctly.

a few years back DSG had them on clearance. while looking through the clearance bin, a DSG employee told me that if i buy multiple packs, he would give me a great deal. I asked him how much for the whole lot? I walked away with about 100 packs of trigger x for $20. I don't think i have ever fished any of them, gave most away, and still have a few packs laying around.

I'm actually a big fan the trigger x baits. Flappin craw, flappin bug, big moe, slop hopper and swimming worms are my favorite. They are durable and catch fish for me. I buy them when I can since they are no longer made

Theres a rumor that Rapala is gonna release a whole new soft plastic line under the Storm brand.

I just picked up a dozen packages. Big Moe Lizards are going to be great in the deep hole in my pond.
