ghost Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Just trying to get an idea brand of line and poundage you use for your swimbait fishing. I'm here in Southern California and biggest lure I use would be a Huddleston 68 trout. I was thinking of using 15-20lb P-line, would this be a good choice? I need the line to be an all around line, so copoly or mono. Not interested in fluorocarbon. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 23, 2016 Global Moderator Posted March 23, 2016 That line will be perfect for swimbaits. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted March 23, 2016 Super User Posted March 23, 2016 try some Gamma co-poly , strongest line per diameter on the market , low stretch , and not too much memory . try some 17 lb. line , you'll love it .... Quote
Dan_the_fisher Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Maxima ultragreen 20# is what I go to Quote
Airman4754 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 15lb CXX would be fine. No fish is breaking any of the line people recommend. The thing you want to avoid is watching your Hudd go flying off into oblivion not attached to your line anymore. Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 23, 2016 Super User Posted March 23, 2016 I use Sunlne Armilo Defier Nylon 25 lb test , .016D, for all my swimbaits, rats, glides and wakes. Tom Quote
