I was doing some spring shopping yesterday and found Sufix ProMix at Cabelas. I've not seen or heard of it before. It is a very inexpensive copolymer. It was so cheap I bought a 300 yard spool to try. I don't need it now, and was just curious if any of you have any experience with it. Thanks guys.

I haven't used it.  I have been very satisfied with Sufix Performance Braid, Sufix 832 braid, and all of the Sufix nylon monofilament lines.  I have yet to try their fluorocarbon, nanobraid, or copolymer lines, but I am interested in hearing about this line.  I see online pricing of $5.99 for 330 yard spools at Cabelas.  I wonder if that is an introductory price?

I wonder the same Senile1. 5.99 for 300 yards of 12#  Sufix copolymer was so cheap for a name brand that I couldn't resist. I am going to spend all of next week at Kentucky Lake. I may have a chance to try it just for grins. I have spent 6.00 on far sillier fishing gear...

I have 10# Pro Mix on my spinnerbait rod and love it. Casts well, not a lot of memory and haven't broken a fish off yet. It's good line. I really like Sufix and have had a lot of success with the brand.

I have the clear and green color in 10# and 12# that I bought from Ollie's last year.  I've used it as a mainline, but didn't care for it too much.  At least I didn't find it to better than Yo-Zuri Hybrid.

I personally felt that the line was less manageable than other copoly lines.  Right now I am using it as line for backing on the reels that I use braid.

I bought some from Ollies as well for $2.99 and it turned out to be junk. Not saying it all is, but mine was. I'll stick with #12 yozuri or #10 cxx for a tough inexpensive copoly.

OK guys. I spooled a spinnerbait/chatterbait combo with the line. I will have plenty of opportunity to check it out next week. I will report back then. I am so looking forward to spending a few days on the water! It has been a long winter...

Just checking back to give a report on how this line performed during a week of fishing. I used it on my chatterbait rod for the entire trip. The fish would not cooperate, but the line did fine. I hadn't been fishing for an hour when I caught the handle of the net on a cast with a crankbait and got the opportunity to respool! While the line is a little harder than I like, it performed well throwing into and around wood and rock with good abrasion resistance. I think it is a good value, and will continue to use it.

I have a few unopened packages that I would be willing to sell you if you want.  PM me if interested.
