Super User Jigfishn10 Posted October 22, 2016 Super User Posted October 22, 2016 Is it me or does Charlie Hustle look and sound awful these days? Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted October 23, 2016 Super User Posted October 23, 2016 It looks like the stars are aligning for the Cubs. Kershaw isn't locating his fastball, slider isn't turning over and hanging in the zone and his curve ball isnt catching the plate. Gonna be a long night for dodger blue and a great one for the Cubbies I think. Quote
VolFan Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 He's locating it great. Locating right on the Cubs' barrels. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted October 25, 2016 Super User Posted October 25, 2016 Finally here! Hard to believe that 1 more series and the 2016 season is over. I have no dog in the hunt and look forward to seeing some old Sox players, managers and front office peeps in the WS. Should be a great series between these 2 great teams. Until next season, it was great talking baseball with you guys. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted October 25, 2016 Super User Posted October 25, 2016 The Indians are somewhat speedy, they could really take advantage of the fact that Lester can't throw over to first. Hopefully they do. He is lucky he's a lefty. He can just stare them back to the bag! Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted October 26, 2016 Super User Posted October 26, 2016 Already screwing with Lester. 1 Quote
5fishlimit Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Lester was pitching scared yesterday. He was too afraid to attach the strike zone, and his inability to throw to first base was a running joke all night last night in Cleveland. 3 Quote
Hez Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 The homeplate umpire was not calling a fair strike zone for the first 4 or 5 innings. It wasn't until Lester had a word with him between innings, that the ump finally called the same strike zone on both sides. Not to take away from Klubers' performance - I'm just saying...the strike zone was biased for the first part of that game last night. I did think that Lester handled the situation well...and nipped it in the butt. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted November 5, 2016 Super User Posted November 5, 2016 Definitely bummed that baseball season is over. But the good thing, like every year, is that baseball and fishing will be starting up right around the same time next year! Quote
XpressJeff Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 I am a Brewers can so my expectations must be kept in check! Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted January 22, 2017 Super User Posted January 22, 2017 I can't believe another young talent in the MLB has died. Yordano Ventura from the KC Royals was killed in a car crash at age 25. Quote

Yordano Ventura was the opposing starting pitcher for Marté's last MLB game. They didn't face each other though, Ventura had already been pulled when Marté pinch-hit in the 9th. Wild. Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted February 15, 2017 Super User Posted February 15, 2017 Pitchers and catchers report to spring training! Won't be long now! Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted June 21, 2017 Super User Posted June 21, 2017 Chris Sale is unbelievable, what a gem he twirled last night. 2 Quote

He's a Madman on the mound - retired 19 in a row a one point. Probably their best all around win of the season - their D has put them all alone in 1st. And did you check out that AAA line up they did it with ? I think their best baseball is ahead of them - barring injury of course. A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted June 21, 2017 Super User Posted June 21, 2017 @Jigfishn10 good to see you back on the forums lately! Chris Sale is certainly a dominant force on the hill. Good to see him finally on a team that can actually get him some Ws. 2 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted June 21, 2017 Super User Posted June 21, 2017 I loved watching the AAA line-up last night @A-Jay. It's funny, I was at Pawtucket on Sunday and when Sam Travis and Devan Marrero came up to bat, my son said: "I thought they play for Boston?" We've been going to Pawtucket for years on Fathers day and basically saw the majority of the roster down there at one point - Xander, Betts, JBJ, Bennintendi, Wright, E-Rod, I'm sure more that aren't coming to mind. Really fun to watch the "kids" develop into MLB'ers. 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted June 21, 2017 Global Moderator Posted June 21, 2017 I predict a fire sale for my Tigers. One of the largest payrolls in MLB and one of the worst records in the American league. They'll get rid of everybody but the Ausmus and the front office and Miggy because he's getting paid $28 mil. per year and can't stay healthy for a month strait. Their AAA farm team an hour from me already clinched a playoff spot, MOVE 'EM UP. Just like with the Red Wings their farm team again an hour from me won the AHL Calder Cup but the wings suck. Tangent over, thanks for lending me your shoulder. 1 Quote

Now if we could just figure out how to get Price to win a few playoff games, perform an Exorcism on whatever ails Ricky P and send the Panda packing, we'd be Golden. A-Jay 1 Quote
