Farrell hasn't been absolutely terrible for the last few years. Wasn't his first year 2013? I really wish they kept francona all along. Bobby V was the worst thing for Boston since Julio Lugo.

Good game out in SF. Crawford just missed a 2 run shot.

what an ending on the SF/CHI game!!

Yup!

The Cubs knew it had to be tonight, because we all know what happens when Mad Bum takes the mound in a winner-take-all game, and he would have started game 5.

I was really hoping to see SF do it again, but I guess I have to root for the Dodgers now.

Yep, I hope the Dodgers take the Cubs to Game 7 tied going in to the 9th and Dave Roberts calls his own name to pinch run in the top of the 9th....:D....That's going to be on heck of a series!

You guys do know the Dodgers still have to beat Scherzer at Nats Park, right?  And no way heck do the Dodgers take the Cubs to 7 games; I would expect that one to be 4-1 at best.

:( Yet another disappointing postseason without Strasburg. Couldn't hit with RISP.

From the guy who was thought to be hurt and almost left off the NLCS roster. And who hit .216 with 8 HR during the whole regular season. That's baseball for you. The stars of the postseason are rarely the same stars of the regular season. Crazy game.

Is this a great post season or what!?!?

Love seeing some ex-Sox players and coaches participating:

Indians: Tito, Brad Mills, Mike Napoli, Andrew Miller

Cubs: Jon Lester, John Lackey, David Ross, coach Eric Hinske

Dodgers: Dave Roberts (I know he wasn't with the Sox long, but he doesn't have to buy dinner in Boston ever again), Adrian Gonzalez (sorry not a fan of him)

Indians sure do look tough, Tito is pressing all the right buttons and Miller has been lights out. Just need to steal 1 up in Toronto, I don't think you want to see the Jays get momentum. Pitching on both sides have been great.

I think the Cubs are feeling lucky that they took game 1. I mean a pinch hit slam, are you kidding me!

What an addition Miller has been for the tribe. And Francona knows just how to use him. Mr. Showalter could learn a thing or two from him. I think Francona is managing himself into the HOF.

Still pulling for the Dodgers though. I want to see Kershaw get a ring so he can go back to focusing on being one of the all time greats.

Kershaw is finally looking like Kershaw. Dealing through 3.

Somebody throw a beer at this guy.

Still waiting for that beer to come flying at me, but I guess it landed short just like the Red Sox's playoffs.

LMAO!

Tito is pushing all the right buttons!

I can honestly say that I miss watching his interviews.

I agree with Jar11591, Tito is on his way to Cooperstown if he can win the WS.

1 more game to go and bring on the winner of the NLCS.

Soooo, was skipping Kershaw last night a good move or not in hind sight???? What a tough decision? I like the thought of 'lets win now' vs 'lets push this to a game 7'?

You win now and have 2 games to win 1.

But.....Game 7, anything can happen.

If I was coaching that team, it's win now and lets see where the chips fall.

How about you? What would you do if you were steering that boat?

If it was Bumgarner, I think he would have been starting game 5. But because its Kershaw, I think Roberts felt Maeda gave them as good of a shot for a win. Kershaw's last start was far from his normal playoff self, and giving him an extra day's rest can't hurt. If the Dodgers were facing elimination or advancement in game 5, Kershaw would have been the starter I'm sure.

In my opinion, Roberts' and Francona's managing have both been incredible this year, but ESPECIALLY this post season. Francona is doing what he has always done, winning. And Roberts is looking like a genius. I'd pick him over Maddon for MOTY in the NL, simply because the Cubs were extremely healthy, and the Dodgers set DL records.

We'll see how well Roberts' decision plays out tonight.

Can't wait. On one hand, I'm really pulling for Kershaw and the Dodgers. But on the other hand, if the Cubs win, we get to see Wrigley go absolutely rabid.
