Super User BrianMDTX Posted May 21, 2023 Super User Posted May 21, 2023 O’s take a huge lead in the top of the 11th after scoring one in the 10th followed by the Jays tying it up. Two outs, Mullins on 2nd and now 8-3. Should this hold, they will gain a game on the Rays, who dropped one to the Brew Crew. Ain’t baseball fun (again)? ? 1 Quote

throttleplate Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 He is in a super slump, he has reverted back to who he really is. Ortiz needs to play more at ss. 102/.143/.119 in May for Mateo’s 64 plate appearances. A .262 OPS . Quote
throttleplate Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 O"s come from behind to smackdown the Skankees. 1 Quote

throttleplate Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 5-1 on the road trip. 2 of 3 in New York. 5 games ahead of the Skanks. Now. Still 3 back from TB. Gibbons pitches 7 innings, no runs. Cano in for the save. 1 Quote
throttleplate Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Grayson Rodriguz was horrible friday night. It’s not just that the command of the off-speed stuff is shaky, it’s that once he misses with just one CB/SL/CH, he seems legitimately scared to throw another one. And guys can just sit FB and crush it. Mateo needs to sit, he has regressed badly. Orioles have better players in the minors that should be called up such as Ortiz whom they just sent back down to make room for Ramon Urias who just came off the injured list. 1 Quote

throttleplate Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 O"s won the sunday rubber game after losing the first 2 to texas. Bautista had a 3 strikeout save. The bats were cold this weekend. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted May 29, 2023 Super User Posted May 29, 2023 Strider is the fastest pitcher to reach 100 Ks in a season since 1893! Strider hit 100 in only 61 IP. Continues to dominate. And Mike Soroka is FINALLY back on the bump tonight. If he’s still the pitcher he was a couple years ago, teams better look out. But if we don’t get some bullpen help, it’s gonna be tough down the stretch. 2 Quote
throttleplate Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 O"s win friday night, Henderson homers and Bautista for the save. 2 Quote

throttleplate Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 O"s take 2 of 3 against the Giants of san fran. Tyler Wells goes 5 1/3 innings striking out 9. Baltimore Orioles, 37-22. 1 Quote

A quick jaunt to the Central Division standings shows the Twins still leading it with an impressive record of 2 games over .500. Oh wait, that's the same as the last place Red Sox in the AL East. AL Central is still a complete tire fire and someone has to win it. 1 2 Quote
throttleplate Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Are the O"s coming back down to earth? Orioles have 3 rookies biding their time in the minors that are available to be called up. They are Cowser, Westburg and Ortiz. They are the orioles future, need to find out if the guys can play in the majors. With the players we have now we arnt going to win much down the road. Quote
throttleplate Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 O" win the rubber game against the Brewers. O"s went 3 wins 3 losses on this road trip. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde wanted better at-bats from his club today. Get in more favorable counts. Improve the pitch selection and decision making. Stop pressing and start scoring again. Kyle Bradish settled down after an unusually rough first inning pitching 5 innings striking out 10 and an offense that was dormant for most of the series bolted upright against the Brewers’ bullpen, with Gunnar Henderson’s two-run shot in the eighth keying a 6-3 come from behind victory. Bautista in for the 9th and gets the save. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted June 9, 2023 Super User Posted June 9, 2023 Man it must suck to be a Mets fan. 3 straight comeback wins by the Braves, to hand the Mets their 6th straight loss. That walk off HR by Albies was an absolute missile. Braves still leading the East, the Mets are fading fast and doing Met stuff, and all is right with the world. 1 Quote
