Rangers are 14-8, 1st place in the AL West, 2.5 games ahead of the Astros and sporting a +59 run differential. I don't think this is their year but the future is finally looking bright again and the team is fun to watch. I'll take it

Last year a slow start kept us out of the playoffs. There's nothing better than seein' the O's playin' good ball.

Man those last 4 games were brutal until last night.     The highs and lows of a MLB season I guess.

I thought Strider just might have gotten a no no or even the perfect game.  It's coming.   He's now figured out how to keep his pitch count a bit lower.

They need to roll off 5 or 6 in a row now.

How about them battling Bucs!!!! They're usually mathematically eliminated from the playoffs by now. Brian.....I suffer the Bucs every season.

LGB.

One of the hallmarks of being a Pirates fan is knowing that it can always get worse.

Yeah I was following and hoping he’d at least get the no no. But he’s definitely progressing as a pitcher, more than just a “thrower”. And it was great to see the offense come alive. This Murphy guy is really trying to steal that starting C spot from Darnaud. I’m guessing when he’s back they’ll do catcher by committee, cuz Murphy’s bat is too good to bench right now.

Just realized that Strider hasn’t allowed more than 4 hits in a start this year. That’s insane. WHIP of 0.83. 49 Ks in 30 IP. Guy is dominating.

I messaged @TnRiver46 and told him that Pittsburgh was gonna keep on until I started following baseball again.

Then I watched them whip LA this afternoon.

I’d love to see Holliday make it up this year and do well. Does Mateo need a tick test? We’re makin’ some noise!!

@AlabamaSpothunter  tomorrow I’ll be at Citi Field to watch the Braves stomp the Mets. And I get to see Strider in action. I’m pumped but the weather is supposed to be terrible, I’m really hoping they can get the game in between the gale force winds and inch of rain they’re callin for…

I saw this. If New Era was smart they’ve would have capitalized on this opportunity and start selling huge hats. But nope, gotta stop the fun!

Man that's freaking awesome brother!     Getting to see the Braves VS Mets is special enough, but to get the stache on the mound, luckeeeeeeeeeeeeee ?

Here's to the weather holding up, if it does that will get for the Braves as it will likely keep the ball in the park better.   I want to see the stache get a no hitter, you know it's coming.

Fried with another dominant 5 innings. They’re in a delay now but they went 5 so he’s be eligible for the win. The chances of them playing a full 9 tomorrow seem very slim.

The weather seemingly half the time at Citi Field sucks, IIrc they had a lot of rainouts last year.

Dynamite ?

My radar is showing that by game time the rain will just still be barely over NY, is there more behind it or something.   If not seems like they could just start this game around 4 or something.   Dang I want you to go to this game.   My other friends went to his 16 K game last year.

looking better as the day goes on, but I wonder how wet the field is from yesterday. Been following the Mets weather forecast Twitter and it seems like they’re gonna try at least. Gonna be a soggy cold one but that’s what the beer is for ?

So sorry buddy, that just sucks!    Are you going to try for another game before they leave town?

Sounds like you need to come to the South this summer, and visit me and Truist Park ?

Unfortunately no time, but they rescheduled for August 12th when the Braves come back to Citi so we’ll be there for that. It’s a double header so we may end up getting tickets to the second game too. I hope I luck out and I get to see Strider for that game at least but it’s only a 20% lol. Yeah I gotta get down there. I saw a couple games at Turner field in 2004 or 5. Seeing them play at home in the new stadium would be awesome.
