Super User A-Jay Posted October 29, 2020 Super User Posted October 29, 2020 Whole Baseball 'season' was a Dumpster Fire. And I got a kick out of the men calling WS and how they kept comparing this seasons 'records' with years past. These guys play a handful of games comparably, not nearly as much travel and are in effect playing the post season in what amounts to June of a regular season. They better be fresh and breaking 'records'. MLB may never be the same, but despite being a suffering Red Sox fan (recent history excluded) I am glad to have been a fan when I was. Now, not so much. Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 26, 2021 Super User Posted February 26, 2021 Looks like the state is going to open Fenway this year to fans, although, not even close to capacity. Can't wait to see the cost of those tix! Let's just say that you won't be able to blow the trumpet for a while after paying for them. ? 2 Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted March 4, 2021 Super User Posted March 4, 2021 Watched my first spring training game the other day...Jays vs Yanks. What a talented young team the Jays have and the Yanks have a scary good pitching staff. Definitely 2 top teams in the Junior Circuit this year. The Red Sox....as we used to say: "well, there's always next year" 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted April 5, 2021 Global Moderator Posted April 5, 2021 Cubs win the first series of the year and the Braves got swept. So far so good my brother wanted to watch the angels game on Sunday night baseball because Otani was pitching. He had 3 crazy pitches in the first inning, we were thinking maybe a little rusty. Then he gets up to bat and smashes the first pitch he sees into the bleachers, high fastball that he waited on for quite some time. It was like he wanted to take the pitch but it was meat, he absolutely smashed it Quote

Let history be your judge lol. O’s sweep BoSox; likely going to be swept by the Stankees. I guess I’m lucky enough that I saw the glory years in the late 60s, 70s and early 80s, as the past 30+ years have been rather disappointing. 1 Quote
