It’s a double header so we may end up getting tickets to the second game too. I hope I luck out and I get to see Strider for that game at least but it’s only a 20% lol. Yeah I gotta get down there. I saw a couple games at Turner field in 2004 or 5. Seeing them play at home in the new stadium would be awesome. Truist is amazing, so much stuff to do, eat, see. The silver lining is that a 8/12 game most likely will mean way more than a game today would have. I get it though, Strider is beyond must see TV, he's a guy worth paying to see IRL. Seemingly ever time he takes the mound he breaks some kind of franchise or even MLB record. Like fishing confidence means so much in baseball, and he's one supremely confident young man. Before he achieved his star status he was dripping with swag and uniqueness. Dude makes rocking a peace sign look cool ? 1 Quote
throttleplate Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 The O"s split a doubleheader today. Grayson Rodriguez the highly touted rookie got the win in game 2. He struckout 9 batters in 5 innings. 3 Quote
throttleplate Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Strike the Pose, Yennier Cano for a 4 out close. O"s win 5-3 on sunday. 1 Quote

Meanwhile out West the team currently known as the Oakland A’sA’sA’s, with a record of 6-23 are projected to exceed all expectations enroute to a record breaking season. Pretty sad to watch this happen to my team and a formerly proud franchise. Good luck BR members to your respective teams this season going forward…. 2 1 Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted May 4, 2023 Super User Posted May 4, 2023 Braves offense has really been firing on all cylinders and the pitching has been a lot better than at the beginning of the season. If we can stay healthy the NL East is ours to lose. 2 Quote
throttleplate Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 O"s win today but it was brutal 13 to 10. We burned our 2 closers Cano and Butista just to beat the Royals who were tatooing the ball all day. Royals came back from being down 8 to actually taking the lead 9-8. Thanks to Ramon Urias birds retook the lead and the win. O"s pitching staff hasnt had a quality start in 5 straight games. May need to get the northfolk shuttle fired up to get a fresh arm or 2. Atlanta is next, hold your popcorn tight. 1 Quote
throttleplate Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Three Atlanta starters we're facing: Elder 3-0 1.75 ERA Strider 4-0 2.57 ERA Fried 2-0 0.45 ERA I think we'll be fortunate to win one of the three. 2 Quote

We have a tough month ahead. Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Yankees. A gut check. Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted May 5, 2023 Super User Posted May 5, 2023 I think the Orioles have the toughest remaining schedule of any MLB team. Going to be a tough go. Quote
throttleplate Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 O"s win 9-4. Atlanta pitcher Fried got umm, Fried. Orioles pitcher Kremer was Seinfeld like, he was on cue. Santander with 2 home runs including a grand salami. 2 Quote

Was a well played series. Last 2 could have went either way. You guys got to Atlanta’s best 2 starters better than most other teams. 3 Quote

throttleplate Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 What really cost us the game was not the bullpen but the 1 for 14 with runners on base. Mountcastle 0-5, Henderson 0-5 and Stowers 0-5. 1 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted May 8, 2023 Super User Posted May 8, 2023 Baltimore is for real, they got a fantastic young club. They are really set up well not just for this year, but for a few years. Braves been struggling against good teams at home so far, and this series was no different. They might have won 2/3, but it just as easily could have been a sweep for them. Braves decision to let Dansby walk has cost them big time already, and it really culminated in this series. Grissom almost cost the game yesterday. That said, watch out going forward with Arcia back in the lineup, he's got that clutch gene, great fielding skills, and an absolute hose of an arm. If the Albatross keeps cranking bombs, could be a special year as the Braves will just outscore everybody. Riley has got to get it going. 2 Quote
