Coming from a Sox fan, it's nice to see the O's playing for something thing this September!

Injuries killed the Sox this year. I'm hoping they don't blow the team up too much in the offseason. With the Sox healthy, imagine what the American League East will be like next season?

Three AL East teams (Yanks, Blue Jays, Rays) are in the playoffs (as of now) with the Orioles 2.0 games back (currently up 3-0 top of the 7th against the Guardians). If the BoSox get back to form next year and things remain relatively status quo, the AL East is going to be a cage match.

I know, it’ll be a barn burner for sure! Look forward to it!

Good luck to your O’s.

Let's go Bravos!  Can't believe it took them this long, and that they finally have tied the Mets for the division.   3rd/4th best record in MLB and have yet to lead their division.

I don't miss a Braves game, and always have put a parlay on the games.   One of the joys in life, watching and betting on the Braves.

Wouldn't that be amazing, especially when you consider the Brave's incredibly young, and paid for roster.   This team could be set up like the Yankees in the late 90s, they could have multiple WS rings within the span of 3-5 years.

That said, October is so magical because it's about who catches that lightning in a bottle like the Braves did last year.   As much as I dislike Ozuna, if his bat gets going....that could be the magic piece that ties it all together for another run.

This is a tough year in the NL, the Dodgers are awesome obviously, but if the Cards get firing on all cylinders, I think they could easily win it all.  They got some serious magic behind them with Pujols farewell tour.     Either way I think the NL takes the ring home again this year.

Hard to believe how young the team actually is. And they’re doing all this without Freddie. Acuña has missed lots of time and has yet to find his rhythm. And yeah I don’t like Ozuna either, but there is no denying he’s got a great bat when he gets going. Not to even mention their young staff. Fried has turned into a true front of the rotation guy. They have the team to go deep into October this year, and for a lot of years to come. Good time to be a Braves fan!

And man am I rooting for Pujols to get to 700.

Somebody woke up with the new division lead after being 10.5 back and trailed all season.

Imagine what it must feel like to be a Met fan ?

Pujols joins the 700 club!

Glad to see it, remarkable accomplishment. He says he's not hanging around to pad the numbers, good on him.

Wow Braves just don't want to win the division it looks like, talk about a blown opportunity last night.   Now they have to face the Met's 3 best pitchers for basically the division title.

Gonna be some epic baseball games this weekend hopefully though, and Truist Park will be loaded to the max.

Good win for the Braves. Jansen really had to make it interesting though.

Man, I can't do another year of Will Smith, and Kanley is as bad if not worse.....Braves are trying to kill their fans at this point I'm convinced ?

The Braves aside, and regardless of the outcome of NL East race, the Met's are in big trouble and I doubt they win a playoff series as it stands.    Degrom has been the worst he's been since I can remember over the last several starts, then you got Max who is like Acuna with regards to missing starts and nagging injuries.   Bassett is their best pitcher right now, and he's been their "stopper" over the last month.

Those three are all they really have, and now two are struggling to cross the finish line.   The Braves got some problems, but unlike the Mets they've been dealing with them from day 1.  The Mets were somehow anointed after the first month even with their history lol.

Felt like the 9th inning could have decided the division race—hard to imagine bouncing back if they Mets roared back from 3 a run deficit in one inning.

Absolutely, and as bad as I just railed on the Mets, Kanley is perhaps the biggest liability b/t the two clubs.

His blown saves are always against the big opponents.....Dodgers at home early in year, Cardinals in St. Louis, and the most epic disaster of them all, he blew the Seattle game recently.    Those three games alone were ridiculous, and in one or two of them he had the max. run support you can have to record a save.     I mean tonight he could have given up 4 with a bat swing.

I'm not a manager, but he's lost the support of the crowd which I can't remember the Braves crowd doing in sometime.    He got boo'd tonight in Atlanta which is a huge deal.   I hope Brian heard those boos and ponders the closing role going forward.
