Sphynx Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Definitely not an Angel's fan, but good lord look at Shohei go, not sure I'm ready to agree with some of the "greatest season in the history of baseball" talk I've heard, but he's absolutely having the best individual campaign out of any active player this year, what a year. Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 31, 2021 Global Moderator Posted August 31, 2021 Hasn't been much to cheer for as a Royal's fan this year, just hoping opposing pitching keeps throwing them low and away pitches to Salvy enough times that he can break the single season home run record for a catcher. 2 grand slams in 2 games, 5 homers in as many games, dude is raking. Not sure there's a more likeable character in the game either. Quote
hokiehunter373 Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 Well, at the least this has been entertaining as heck! Quote

I have no interest in this World Series at all, other than in the end it ain’t Houston… 1 1 Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted November 30, 2021 Super User Posted November 30, 2021 Some surprises in free agency:  Max Scherzer to the Mets Javier Baez to the Tigers Corey Seager to the Rangers Cy Young winner Robbie Ray to the Mariners Marcus Semien to the Rangers Kevin Gausman to the Jays Starling Marte to the Mets Noah Syndergaard to the Angels Kole Calhoun to the Rangers Jon Gray to the Rangers  I know I'm missing some, but the Mets, Tigers and Rangers are shelling out some serious money. Super User Jigfishn10 Posted June 8, 2022 Super User Posted June 8, 2022 The Sox are starting to get their crap together. They're actually become enjoyable to watch again. Considering the start to the season resembled a classic movie from the '70's where the team was sponsored by "Chico's Bail Bonds"!  No way they'll catch the Yanks. Yanks are absolutely raking.  Quote

Super User Bird Posted June 8, 2022 Super User Posted June 8, 2022 I'd love to have the Redsoxs 2 - 3 - 4 hitters on my team....... which will not be disclosed. Lol 1 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted August 10, 2022 Super User Posted August 10, 2022 I’m starting to get less laughs and a lot more ?? wearing my Orioles gear. 1/2 game out of the final WC spot and hoping to sweep the Blue Jays this evening.  The farm system is loaded, the ballclub is playing clutch and the bullpen is reliable. They have turned the page. 1 Quote

If we end the season at .500 or above I’ll be happy. The future is looking pretty good. Quote

I’m waiting for the Gunnar Henderson call-up from AAA.  And I agree 100% with your take on Elias. Here’s hoping he can do it again! 1 Quote

Went 2-4 in his debut.  2.0 games back in the wild card standings. Going to be an interesting September! 2 Quote

For the first time in a long time the future looks bright. I liked what Buck Showalter was able to do, but this time around I think we have a farm system to sustain us for a while. September and heading into next year will be fun. 1 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted September 1, 2022 Super User Posted September 1, 2022 hokie, Gunnar needs a bigger batting helmet!  Navy, two things. One, the farm system under Buck was a wasteland. It’s now #1 in MLB. Two…no Ubaldo Jimenez!!! 1 Quote
