Thinking about buying my first boat. I'll be fishing mostly in canals and lakes in south Florida. Should i buy a used good condition 2009 bass tracker pro 16 /25hp for $2500 or 2014 -14ft jon topper/2013 trailer/2013 9.9 mercury for $2500? The pro 16 trim and tilt need work. Which one is better deal and worth buying?Thxs

I wouldn't be buying any boat that needed work right out of the gate.

I understand there's lots of boats in Florida Ajp72, so I'd keep looking and not take on someone else's headache...

I'd probably see if the guy with the pro 16 would fix the trim before the sale, or try to use it as a bargaining chip. With all boats though, a huge amount of the value is determined by condition. It's  hard to say what's the better buy without seeing them because everyone seems to have a different opinion of "good condition".
