jtrent Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Getting ready to start tying some jigs and planning on using wire but I wasn't sure what gauge, coated or noncoated, copper, stainless and is there any advantage of thread over wire. Any help would be great. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Most of that is personal preference. I use 22 ga copper that I strip. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted January 31, 2011 Super User Posted January 31, 2011 Thread is way more time consuming than wire. I use the windings out of an old table saw motor. Quote
cadman Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I don't believe one is bettr than the other. It's a matter of personal preferance and what you're used to. I personally like to tie with thread. To each his own. Quote
