Ordered some inexpensive supplies off Ebay and gave it a shot.  The paint is my wife's nail polish (haha!)  Nice to be able to throw (and lose) a jig that costs about a buck to make.

Looks good and when you build something yourself and catch fish on it is even better. Add in a few saved bucks and its a win/win situation.
