Brett Strohl Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Over the winter I got some Livingston lures that make some kind of noise that is supposed to sound like a bait fish. Do you guys have any experience using anything like that? Is it any more or less effective than something that doesn't make the noises? Just curious. (I don't even know how you'd figure out what kind of noise a fish makes) Quote
S. Sass Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I honestly never had or used any that claim to make "electronic" noise. I presume that the technology is out there but to me I consider them gimmicks for now. 1 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted March 17, 2016 Super User Posted March 17, 2016 I've got a Dive Master, but haven't fished it enough to tell how well it works. However, if the noises are not a gimmick, they sure do give a good impression of one. Other than that, It seems like a ok crankbait. Quote

Yeah I'm sure they're just as good or bad as any other crank bait, but I'm still really interested to hear from someone who has used them extensively Quote
bradco Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Have not used them extensively, but was fishing with a guy recently that had one of the lipless tied on. We got into a school of whites and he was catching them 5 to my 1. I was using RES in a similar color. Not sure if it was coincidence, but was enough to make me buy a few! 1 Quote
