warrior1 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I was fishing at Pine Flat Lake the First weekend in March and found a higher end Fish Finder floating right by the boat. It looks to be in OK and water doesn't appear to have made it inside. I know this is Northern Ca, but I thought it would be worth a try to get it back to the rightful owner. I posted in that areas Craigs list as well but I know they had a few tournaments back to back, so it could be from anywhere. All somebody has to do is tell me what the make and model is and one special marking on it and it's yours. 2 Quote
bassguytom Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Very nice of you to try to find its owner. Topic tag should have read " I am a finder of a fish finder". Sounds more biblical. Hope you find the owner it would really suck to lose mine. 2 Quote

I called them today and still no inquires, so I'm sure one of them would have ended up with a nice FF if I would have left it. Quote
Airman4754 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 You would have a lot more luck on westernbass.com 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 15, 2016 Global Moderator Posted March 15, 2016 Call the company. A lot of them require you to register it with them in case the owner ever needs to use the warranty. They'll probably be able to contact the owner and let them know it was found. That's a good thing you're doing for someone, whether you find the owner or not. Quote

warrior1 Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 the FF was not registered but they could tell me that it was made in December of 2015, so not old at all. I also posted in Westernnbass. My next try will be to boot it up and see if the anything in save waypoints helps to pinpoint where to post. Quote
warrior1 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 I made a trip to our distant Bass Pro Shops and the guy working in the FF department was nice enough to hook it up and everything works fine. No waypoints, so nothing to pinpoint a home lake. I gave it my best, and since it's a major upgrade to my dash mounted unit, I purchased everything to hook it up. Quote
fisherrw Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 mit as well sounds like you tried harder than most people would about returning it. Quote
