1. I live on a farm, meaning work six days of the week.

2. I would be embarrassed to show a bunch of people what little fishing stuff I have, and the cheap rods I use.

3. Parents would probably say no.

Obviously you misunderstand what a lot of us are like, this is not about the equipment you use my friend, in fact, your parents would be welcome to join us if they so desire, you keep an eye out for a date and a place !!

Bad thing is, parents never really liked the fact i got into fishing, and spend so much money in the sport, so neither of them like it. In plus, working on a farm often requires working from early in the morning to late at night, so not much of a chance there...

And, i will not have my driver licenses til the midle of the summer, so i wouldn't have a way to get down there, unless my friend took me(hes into fishing, but not on here).

It seems there is always interest in doing this, it is a good time and I believe you will enjoy it, I know first hand of the hard work and long hours of our farmers, while I may have only a handful of years invested, you have a lifetime, we are grateful for you and your families hard work.

We will try our best to do this from time to time and could even possibly try more than one, who knows, keep an eye out !!!

Just so you know, im not saying I dont want to come. I think if it would be a lot closer to me that would make a big dif, because I can get my drivers licenses in june....

I know, I may have been misunderstood, all I'm saying is that we often talk about doing something like this, there was once that we tried or talked about doing one each year in a different part of the state, periodically there is a thread that pops up for a meet and greet and you never know where it will be.

You haven't picked a location or voiced an opinion as to where you would like it to be, you have an idea?

If we were going on boats, we could always go to Rivanna, I love that place, even tho I haven't been there often.

Ok peeps, it's been a week and so far we only have 3 likes, 2 for bank beater, 3 for boater/non boater, we have the same peeps voting for both so it looks as if it really doesn't matter either way or at least that's what I am assuming, correct?

W/C, My suggestion would be just pick a place and a date, bring a covered dish if ya want to have lunch and let's have some fun!!

I'm interested in this. I'm looking to find more places to fish in the central VA area as well as most places are considered "private property" here with more and more homes constantly going up. It's getting pretty ridiculous here in Chesterfield, VA.

Lake Orange has plenty of jon boats to rent with trolling motors. We could all take a cooler with an aerator and see who can catch the biggest limit under 16" since there's a 16-24 protected slot! Great picnic area as well, decent bank access if there are any who prefer that.

Never been there but sounds like it would fit the needs of an event like this.
