Where are you guys catching crappie and what is your favorite bait in fifty to fifty-six degree water?

They're on the banks here in those water temps. Any kind of shallow cover has potential to hold them then. I don't fish for them often but I've been catching some around old cattail stalks and dock pilings. Crappie tube under a bobber is pretty much my go to when I'm trying to locate fish, unless they're aggressive, then it's a jerkbait like a 78 pointer.

I am just starting out crappie fishing with jigs, what is your favorite brand of tubes?  And I totally agree about the jerkbait, I caught a fifteen inch crappie last fall on a 4.5 inch jerkbait while bass fishing.  I had no idea a crappie would go after something so large.
