RyanDR Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I have 2 rods. Looking to expand my arsenal. Just want to get your opinion and what you would use these rods for as I pretty much use them for everything at this point. Still learning and getting better. If you care I would love some suggestions on rods to get next. I like fishing jigs (any kind), soft plastics and flukes the best with the occasional jerkbait thrown in and rare topwater. 6'6" (Bass Pro graphite series) Med Heavy fast action, President Pflueger 6925 with 15 braid and 10 flourocarbon leader 7'0" (Bass Pro Extreme XPS) Med Heavy fast action, Sahara 3000FE with 10 pound braid Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted March 14, 2016 Super User Posted March 14, 2016 MHF rods make fine all-around rods. Not the best for treble hooks, tho. Personally I use them for everything else. Quote

trick worms Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 The 2 rods you have are used for the same purposes so I'd sell one. I would get a medium rod either spinning or Bcasting for topwater cranks and jerks Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I would recommend a seven foot, medium power, fast action rod as a good compromise for the techniques you listed. Fishing factory outlet has the Abu Garcia veritas for fifty-three dollars (plus free shipping) instead of the retail price of one hundred dollars that you might want to try. They also have a Abu Garcia orra S30 for forty dollars instead of the retail price of seventy dollars. If you would prefer a reel to match the veritas's color, ffo has a pflueger supreme for sixty-five instead of the retail price of one hundred dollors. Quote
