HookdUP Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I'm looking to build a aggressive jig set up , weight is an issue and I want to be able to fish it all day .... The two last choice are metanium xg and the bfs xg ... But I was concerned as I'm almost exclusively going to pitch and punch jigs and plastics from 1/8jigs or Texas rigs to 1 1/2oz punching . Would the bfs be capable ? I really love the real but honestly never intend to use it for its truest purpose .. Any opinions ? Quote
IAY Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I would never use something that heavy with BFS spool. 1 Quote
HookdUP Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 That's what I'm hearing . I wished the metanium looked like the bfs though . Quote
offsidewing Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 At 6.2 ounces, the Metanium XG balances well on many rods. Also, there are several BFS spools for it as well. Quote
