pwahmy Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Do you guys use bubblegum colored plastics? Some think it might steal their man card but I like them. How about you? -Payton Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 10, 2016 Global Moderator Posted March 10, 2016 Yep, steals your man card, don't use pink under any circumstances. 7 Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted March 10, 2016 Super User Posted March 10, 2016 Put pink and methiolate in the back drawer a long time ago. Never got a bite on either. 1 Quote

Mine are also put away. Thought they'd buy me lots of hits, but nada. Think I caught one fish on merthiolate. I've got friends who swear by the colors and have pix of bass they've caught on the same waters I fish. Me? Wasn't worth the effort to fish 'em. Of course I'll try again some time. I always try "old stuff" to see if they'll work this time.... Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted March 10, 2016 Super User Posted March 10, 2016 I don't throw much bubblegum but I always have some methiolate in the boat. While it's far from my top producer, every once in a while it's just on fire and can't be touched. 1 Quote
blckshirt98 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I used bubblegum Reigns Bubbling Shakers on this one lake nearby on a dropshot last year and it killed them. Not so much luck on other lakes but they were chomping that thing at the one place. As for man card, I'll fish a pink rod and reel if it's all I had to go fishing. I might even get a Trait Crist spinning combo for myself lol. Quote
Scarborough817 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I would but I have far to many plastics already Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 10, 2016 Super User Posted March 10, 2016 Won a tournament on a pink & chartreuse spinnerbait! Merthiolate is killer in cold winter waters! Wanna take my man card? Come try 2 Quote
Heron Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I have not had a single catch, bite, blow up, swirl, sniff, or shadow with any bait in bubblegum pink. Gave them an honest try, but nothing. Quote
ErikmonBillsfon Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I used to love pink and orange Creamsicle swirl dingers a few years ago. I thought it looked like a perch somewhat and was visible against a green background. Worked good for pike. Also had a hot pink xrap that worked great for smallies. 1 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted March 11, 2016 Super User Posted March 11, 2016 Caught my 2nd biggest bass on a golf course pond near the beach with a bubble gum fluke.Caught several other fish with it.Tried it on the home lake and nothing. Quote
flyingmonkie Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Bubblegum senko baits are KILLER and one of my go-to's in the spring. Especially good for smallies. There was an article in the latest Bassmaster about them. I like a slightly less saturated bubblegum color, like on the Strike King Zero. A tiny bit more natural in my opinion Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 11, 2016 Super User Posted March 11, 2016 Try a 6" pink Sluggo on a 3/4 oz. jig head. Great early season smallie & lake trout bait. Quote
Ghostshad Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Can be a Great color,i like Bubblegum & Pearl . Quote
paangler13 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I gave a bag of pink floating worms to my wife when we started fishing together (before she was my wife actually!) Told her I never had a lot of luck on them, but she just had to have em! Last year we went out with my boys fishing, she decided to use them finally. She WORE ME OUT on them!! She caught the more than me, bigger fish than me, and capped it off with a big ole pickerel too... well I have pink worms now!! I figure bass are like women. I have no idea what there are going to want on a given day, so you better have a little bit of everything to throw at them! Jim 1 Quote
bassguytom Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 I would throw bubblegum but the bass around me are more fond of chocolate bars. I'm a fan of the mizmo pink tube though. Quote
jlperkins Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Bubblegum Ike Con worms early spring they work great !!!!!!!! Quote
