Lumberjack_lou Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 My family and I have been on lake seminole for the past three days and are still fishless. I suspect the cold front that has moved through last week has pushed the fish off their beds and on the the staging areas. We have fished fish pond drain, most of the back waters off of spring creek and some main lake points. Is there something major I'm missin? We've been throwing spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, lizards, jigs, and flipping everything we see. please help save our trip. thank you for your help Lou Quote

You have my sympathy. Maybe someone here can offer some help. All I know is persistence is what I do when i am trying everything and struggling. 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 10, 2016 Super User Posted March 10, 2016 Lou, have you tried throwing a wacky rig? Either weighted or weightless with a 4 or 5" Senko (or knock off) in natural colors like Green Pumpkin, watermelon, black, etc.? Throw near structure, dock pylons, etc., and let it sink. Patience is a virtue with this rig 1 Quote
Gotfishyfingers? Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Fish extremely slow. Try dead sticking a senko..What are you flipping, skirt or no skirt? What colors you using? Look for submerged grass in deeper water, if you haven't found any yet.. Quote
flyingmonkie Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Been there before, brother. My condolences. :/ My advice: Fish hard dawn and dusk, and in between, get some live bait and a cooler of cold ones, relax, and enjoy nature. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted March 10, 2016 Super User Posted March 10, 2016 doesn't sound like you're alone there man... check these reports: http://www.southernfishing.com/current-fishing-report/lake-seminole-fishing-report.html http://www.gon.com/fishing-reports/lake-seminole-fishing-report-march-2016 Quote
BareHook Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I second the wacky rigged senko or even TR rigged weightless. Try catching some Bluegill or buy some shiners for live bait? Quote
