mnfishing66 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Shimano Sellus or Abu Villian? Similar price since the Villian is on sale for $89 now. I believe Sellus is $70 or so but just want to know what people think. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 between those 2, villian.... abu has good customer service as well. go on gandermountain's website and look, they have some models marked down to $89 AND you get a $30 gift card! Quote
S. Sass Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 It it doesnt have to be one of those two you might consider a Fenwick ffotackle.com has some decent prices on them. 1 Quote
BigSkyBasser Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Are these the only two you will settle for? There are an enormous amount of quality rods in that same price range other than the ones mentioned. Fenwicks are great. And the Denali Jadewood is on sale from a certain Warehouse that sells Tackle..... Quote
aprilbass101 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Villian - 3 year warranty.....Sellus - 1 year warranty! Bass Pro Shop has the Villians mark down to $79.99 1st Generation not the 2.0. Plus for $9.95 a free hoodie sweatshirt from Abu. Pretty much the $89 but you get a free sweatshirt Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted March 10, 2016 Super User Posted March 10, 2016 Just don't get the Villain 7' 6" MH unless planning to use 5/8 oz. or above lures. Mine will barely cast a 1/2 oz. spinnerbait a decent fishing distance. Not knocking Villain rods as I really like my ML spinning rod. Both are original models. Quote
