Jon Morris Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 In the Jacksonville (specifically the Orange Park area) and looking for a good bass pond open to public. Looking for quantity over quality. Funny, cause I caught 3 the other day in the next best thing to a drainage ditch but struck out today at 3 pristine lakes........so obviously I need some advice. Don't have access to a boat either. Super User geo g Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 Guys cherish their little honey holes. A pond can change quick if people take the fish. The word spreads fast! Quote

OK, since I have a bad habit of being super sarcastic if I feel someone has said something.......well let's just say.......obvious.... I'll do my very best to not be. Thank you for your insight. While I appreciate your attempt to respond to my question I believe you are mistaken as to my intent. I'm not asking you for your family's secret honey hole that has been passed down from your great granddaddy........but if you could point me in the direction of a well known public park that actually HAS bass in it's Lake that would be greaaaaat. Super User N Florida Mike Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 I don't know about orange park, but I'd google all the westside parks and check them out.Several of them have stocked ponds.I've never fished them, cause I'm a south side boy, and there plenty of ponds over here. 2 Quote
drake7575 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I just moved here does anyone know of any ponds near fernandina or yules where you can catch bass it would be much appreciated! Quote
FloridaFishinFool Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 For some Orange Park pond fishing there is a road off Blanding Blvd. called Argyle Forest Blvd. If one were to start at Blanding Blvd. and drive west on Argyle Forest Blvd., there are numerous ponds and small lakes right along the side of the road for miles. One right after another, some interconnected. Most are mowed down to the waterline and easy access to most of them for bank fishing. 1 Quote

Obviously you are a little over the top with your super sensitive remarks. I don't live anywhere close to you, if I did I would have help with your request for information. Something I do all the time with people requesting info in my area. My intent was to explain why you were getting little response to your request. End of story! Quote
