pwahmy Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I love using a rage craw on a jig as a trailer it has tremendous action, but some ponds I'm fishing lately seem to have a little bit smaller fish in them so I want to decrease the overall bulkiness of my presentation. What are some slimmer jig trailers? -Payton Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted March 8, 2016 Super User Posted March 8, 2016 A 3" or 4" stick bait is a fantastic finesse jig trailer 2 Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 A Rage Tail Menace makes a pretty sweet non-bulky trailer. I sometimes use half of a ribbon-tail worm (the ribbon end) also which is on the smaller side. 2 Quote

Super User ChrisD46 Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 Zoom's Li'l Critter Craw would be PERFECT for your application rigged on a finesse jig of your choice ! Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 Grub, stickbait, small fluke. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 The 2.5" Conquistador finesse pro craw is a killer and one of my favoreites for a small finesse jig I make is a Venom Lures Ron Yurko Finesse chunk, that is a killer small profile trailer. The Culprit DW1 twin tail and the DW2 Chunk are also very good finesse type trailers, any of these will work for you. Quote
herruberraschen Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 A true 1/4 ounce finesse jig I like a baby beaver. Maybe a baby rage craw. A finesse flipping jig (3/8 ounce) I would use a menace grub. Compact and moves through the water quickly. Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 9, 2016 Super User Posted March 9, 2016 Any worm cut down to 4" leaving the tail end works good. Straight tail worms cut 4" and split the tail end about 2" works as a streamline low profile jig trailer. The method to split a worm easily is use a flat board, fillet knife or safety razor and push the blade straight down through the middle if the worm tail end, don't try to slice it. This is very effective using a 1/8 to 1/4 oz ball head jig. Tom Quote
