Anybody have any luck yet on the water? What was the water conditions like where you were fishing? Water is still cold and muddy?

I was out on a small lake in central PA yesterday. Shallow end still had ice. Water was chocolate milk with a temp of 35º.

Walker Lake.

I was at Raystown two weeks ago and water temp was 36 and it wasn't very dirty.

Got out on my favorite little lake in NEPA and caught 13 fish that included a 5.99, 4.64, 4.45, 4.0.  Most of them pretty shallow.  Water temps 42-46.

I live in South GA and me and my best friend who lives in South Jersey are planning a trip to Raystown. Trying to figure out when to go because we like to keep the Bass, and I think April 14 through June 15 you can't keep any. Seems kinda cold there. Any suggestions. Are there any sites where you can monitor the conditions?

There are a few striper fishing guides that post reports on their websites. Thats probably your best bet.

The Striper365 forum seems to have recent reports from time to time as well.

The USGS site for water conditions at Raystown is down more than its up. So, not very useful.

Went to bluemarsh lake. The lake is down about 5 ft and stained, some parts are muddy. Caught a dink reeling in a jerkbait. Had a few hits on rattletrap. Tried football jig and slow rolling spinnerbait... nothing. Guess they wanted the tight wobble and flash. Just was cold and raining out. I was freezing. So I left after 3 hrs. If it was sunny it would have been more comfortable.

The fish are alot shallower than I thought. Almost all the way up the creeks at blue marsh. To me it seems kinda early, but with the weather we've been getting i guess It makes sense. probably see what hopewell or nockamixon lake is like in the coming weeks.

Alright guys what's been working for ya?! For me it's been Brush hogs Texas rigged. Dragging Football jigs around rocks. Dinks hitting topwater frog in open water no hookups. No crankbait fish for me yet. Anything different for guys around here?

for me it depends on where im fishing. lately ive been messing with a keitech fat or a fluke which  has been working, but nothing big lately.

Having moderate success with my swimbaits, nothing huge, lots of 3's, few 4's, and a couple 5's (one was really 6). But haven't been able to really put the time in.
