Ok let´s see, the most SBs :

  1. Joe Montana
  2. Johnny Unitas
  3. John Elway
  4. Roger Staubach
  5. Dan Marino
  6. Terry Bradshaw
  7. Troy Aikman
  8. Brett Favre
  9. Tom Brady tie with Payton Manning

So nope, he ain´t the best QB.

is this super bowl wins? appearances? Either way, Unitas, marino, favre do not belong on that list, unitas played in 1 super bowl, marino 2 and fire 2.

The best ever is a discussion with no conclusion, he is near the top. What sets him apart is how cerebral a player he was, game in game out he was prepared like no other. He never had the biggest arm, not very athletic but took what he had and made the most of it. For that he needs to be congratulated for, we see so many athletes waste talents its great to see someone make the best of everything he had.

No way. No way at all.    You cannot have a best of all time. The game and the athleticism have changed so much over the years.  You could have a best of an era.  But to honestly call anyone of them the best of all time.  Impossible.... The game has changed to much over the years to hand that award out.  Hell it changes every year.   Superbowl appearances shouldn't justify whether the quarterback becomes the best of all time. Thats just wrong. Takes alot more than a qb.  Look at the talent these quarterbacks were throwing to over there careers. Look at the linemen.  Defense wins 95% of superbowls.

That´s what came up when you google, Montana rules supreme above all.

I think Jerry Rice might of had a little to do with that?

As much as Stallworth, Swan, Harris and Bleier had to do with Bradshaw being one of the greatest QBs of all time.

Im certainly glad I got to watch Peyton play the game. I was fortunate to be living in Knoxville when he played for the Vols. Gonna be missed. Would like to see him stay with the game though. Commentary or something.

Well, that's true and in this era, Tom Brady is certainly on par or better then Peyton. But that is not the point...Peyton Manning represents the NFL at it's very best. His records speak for themselves. I am still fixated on the Elway Era which included a lot of GREAT quarterbacks including Montana, Brett and Brady. So, as I wrote earlier...
