Super User A-Jay Posted March 7, 2016 Super User Posted March 7, 2016 During conditions that were unusual & much more challenging than most expected, he fished hard, made the right decisions and some critical adjustments. Had his water all to himself & boated the ones that bit. Third year in a row a local angler got it done. Congratulations Edwin Evers. A-Jay 5 Quote

Kyle46N Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 That's the kind of winning bag that will help 2nd-5th place sleep easier tonight. Because..."What are ya gonna do?" 3 Quote
quanjig Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Couldn't even begin to imagine the feeling of walking up there with THAT final day bag of fish! Great job by Evers for sure!!! Quote

Bass newb Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 It's really amazing to see how bad he and christie pulled away from the pack. I cannot comprehend all those guys that got blanked. Quote
Airman4754 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 What an insane third day! Evers made an 18 or 19 pound swing with that bag. Quote

No one was catching Evers, but if spinnerbaits were working you would figure the king of them would at least be in the top 20. 1 Quote
Super User senile1 Posted March 7, 2016 Super User Posted March 7, 2016 Over the last few years my expectations for Evers have risen. It has been a while since I watched the show, The Bass Pros, but he was always the guy who seemed to catch the biggest fish in his teaching segments of the show. This caught my attention and led me to make note of the techniques and methods he uses. It seemed that he was due to hit pay dirt soon. We have seen him rise and compete for AOY honors as well. Though he hasn't won that yet, it wouldn't surprise me if he did at some point. So congratulations to him for a tremendous Classic win! He took a fairly mundane tournament with tough fishing for just about everyone, and turned it into a memorable, last minute, come from behind win. 1 Quote
