Basslover I suggest you do as I do, as well as many others who watch this board, is marvel at the talents and creations of those posting. Find ones you like alot and ask questions on techniques and tricks to produce similar baits yourself.

The posts I have found and watched over the years provide good information on components, tricks, etc. each artist is using, or have used, to create these mini mona lisas. My eyes get to walk through a fine art gallery everyday that I check the tacklemaking forum here. Would love to see what creations you would come up with compiling different things modeled after the various artists you enjoy on the site.

Can I test you guy's new lures................. I am willing to test and make comments on your lures and make productive comments and make suggestions if needed and will help you fine tune it and will test it on the water and during tournaments and will record how many bass I catch on each lure and am willing to pay shipping...........

So are you looking for free baits or is there something else here that I don't see?  I  have never seen anyone who turned down free baits.

Might I suggest that you just ask for free lures.   All the bs about toury testing and comments just doesn't fill the bill.    What do you have to offer a builder that would be of benefit?   Every fisherman on the forum throws cranks and can type comments or give some kind of feedback.   You need to show why your feedback will be of more importance.   Now if you are Rick Clunn then I might just take you up on the offer :)

Let's see, @ $20 per bait shipping, I'll just send you a whole tackle box full and you can even keep the box.

Most of the builders on this site are more than capable of testing their own baits.

LOL, if you hit enough of the lure making forums, you are bound to find one sucker. This is the second time I have read this message.

Easy guys. Please check his profile. His age will suprise you.

basslover12345, time to leave this thread alone and don't worry about it. Just give it time and learn as much as you can :)

There is a chance he is dishonest (and maybe he is honest) but I can type in 8 as my age. just saying

If he really is a kid and needs some baits, I'd send him some of my surplus. I have done it a few times when I was sure it was a kid and he wasn't asking for freebies. I guess there is no way to be sure though.

Big M and Jig Man, you are correct, if guys would just ask straight up instead of telling the story of how they are doing you a favor by testing a bait for you they might get a different response. Most of the bait makers here are very generous and are always willing to help out new members and future baitmakers, just be honest and don't promise something that has no value.

My purpose of making this post was to see if members would let me test and put to use some of the unique and new colors and designs that they come up with.

I think their answer is a big NO. Move on and let this thread die.

The kid is only 14 (so it says in his profile)

If I was a neighbor of a 14 year old that showed that much interest, I would load him down with baits to use and get him interested in making his own. JMO

I just wish my 14 year old grandson took that much interest in fishing. Don't get me wrong, he is a great grandson but has other interests like baseball and I can't fault him for that.

Jim45498.....You are so right.....I have removed my smartass remark a do appoligize to BassLover12345.  I have a 14yr old and I wish he loved fishing and making lures as much as he does his X-Box.  I will not spend a dime on his X-Box but would go broke buying him fishing equipment.

That being said and without going into detail what I do for a living......profiles on message board alot of the time do not reflect the truth, but I do think that in this case it does.  I must remind myself that this is not like the message boards that I have to deal with and that most all on this board DO NOT HAVE a hidden agenda.  We are just good folks that love to fish.

I once again appoligize to Basslover12345 and will try to live by those famous words......."If you can't say something nice then don't say nothing at all." ........ at least on this message board.

Crow don't taste that bad.

Did a little research and basslover has a webpage. It doesn't give his age, but it does say how he runs a middle school fishing club. I know my son is really into fishing (he's 15) and it keeps him out of trouble. I think he just needs a little forum guidance.

I research his last posts, and he seems like a straight up kid who loves to fish and has some nice opportunities in front of him. I PM'd him yesterday right after I posted about checking his profile in this thread, and didn't get a PM back after telling him to keep his chin up. I haven't heard back, but my guess is that he's hanging low.

I suggest we let this one die and hope he comes back on another thread.

Wow...so listen guys. I can be anyone's 14 year old son  :)

I'm 18, so not too far.

For starters, i need a new boat. Actually, right now i'd probably settle for money to repair the motor on the one i have.

Any takers? .....no?  :'(
