tholmes Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 I probably have a dosen different brands of lipless baits and I've caught bass on every one of them. If I had to pick, I'd go with the Strike King Red Eye Shad, followed closely by Rat' L'Trap, Cordell Spot, and Rapala Rippin' Rap. Last fall I caught a lot on the BPS Tourney Rattle bait, and at $1.97 each, I can afford to lose a few. Favorite colors are chrome/blue or black back, gold/black back, some sort of red craw, and sexy shad. Tom Quote

Spro Aruku Shad is one of my favorites along with I believe they are H2O brand. But the old Rattletrap etc favorites work great to. I prefer the chrome black or chrome blue or the redish crawdad colors. Quote
jbw252 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Strike King Red Eye Shad. Sexy shad or any of the chrome variants. 1 Quote

ibobpeb Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Sadly I never have much luck with the Rat'L'Trap and I've given it a lot of time. I switched over to a Rippin Rap in the colors helsinki, red crawdad, and green tiger uv and slayed them. Also catch walleyes on these so it's my new favorite lipless. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 15, 2016 Global Moderator Posted March 15, 2016 I have a few different ones that I like. The now defunct Xcaliber XR50 and XRK50s are my favorites. The Strike King RES and 2tap have grown on me a bunch this past year. The new Berkley Warpig has proven itself to be a fish catcher since I started using it. I have high hopes for the 6th Sense FRS as well. Quote
Ghostshad Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I love Yo-Zuri its all i buy but it looks like their killing their color's,or my eye's are shot. Quote

I should start doing it this way I like that Another vote for the Red eye shad I throw both the 1/4 and 1/2 oz I prefer the 1/4 as I fish mostly smaller bodies of water.... All I use is 3 colors the red craw pattern a chartreuse black back and a bluegill Quote
desmobob Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I've had good luck with the inexpensive Cordell Super Spots and good ol' Rat-L-Traps, but seem to do better with the Strike King Red Eye Shads. I keep a variety of colors on hand and along with the traditional favorites, have had good luck with some of the firetiger-type colors and especially the Bill Lewis "Chartreuse Crawdad" color. Tight lines, Bob Quote
robster80 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 i like the xcaliburs. and of course the red eye shad. caught a pile of fish sunday throwing nothing but a RES. the 6th sense ****** is becoming a go to as well. ive got a handful of both the FRS and the regular ones. bout to order a couple more colors of RES and 6th sense Quote
Wprich Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Rippin rap is my favorite lipless, love them for bass, white bass, hybrids. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted March 16, 2016 Super User Posted March 16, 2016 Besides Rat-l-traps I like to use Strike King Red Eye Shad and Cordell Super Spots. Quote
