Count me in with the Legend Tournament Bass/Walleye
rods (smaller sizes in the identical walleye series), and
a Shimano Stradic of your choice, within your budget.

But as it has been said, a senko catches fish no matter
what you use.

Agree with the other commend about the croix ltb 68mxf.  It's the only spinning rod I typically carry with me.

St croix avid, ltb, or legend 6'8" mxf or 7' mf, and a shimano 2500 size spinning reel, stradic fj, fk, ci4 etc

I'm not the first, but the Dobyns 743 is the bomb. I've used it once, and it is on my list. Any spinning reel will do honestly, a little money goes a long way. I have the Pflueger Supreme XT and the Team Lew's, they're both great and I got them for $80 and $60 respectively.

I use a casting rod for my Senko setup, but my favorite spinning rig is a Phenix UMBX 7'6" M with a Pfluger Supreme (I'm a reel cheapskate). You will have $100 to spend on lures or get a more expensive reel.

Mike built "The Perfect"  Senko rod for me and I am pretty sure he kept records on the build. I think it was around $230 delivered. Have him build you the same rod, then add the CI4+ to complete the package.

:airhorn:

How about $435 delivered per your own post?

I'd believe that cause there were over $100 in Torzites alone.

How about I put together a real nice combo for less than 200 bucks and I'll keep the rest of the 500?

Powell Inferno Rod 6'10 med

Whatever reel you want for less than 100(Pflueger Presidential?)

I'd avoid the FK like the plague considering you cant maintain it yourself without voiding the warranty.  The Ballistic is very nice but again you can't maintain it yourself without destroying the magseal you just paid $200+ for.  I'd get a Penn Clash 3000 for $200 and use the rest to get that custom rod Roadwarrior mentioned. There is no experience in fishing like using a custom rod.

Must be nice...my senko rig is under $100 w/line!

Na the fish haven't a clue of they are using a cane pole or a $1000.00 custom rig. If you can't fish doesn't matter what you spend. Money spent just makes the fisherman feel better sometimes.

My rig is about $150 and I know many friends that look at it like I spent $500. :)
