I no longer worry about rods breaking because of a fish, as long as it's used properly, after watching these guys catch tuna on a Barbie rod -

I use a ML/XF for drop shots and Ned rigs with 6lb leader line. Might try a shake head but but M/F is preferred.

True.  A thread like this can be quite useful no matter how old versus a thread asking 'which rod to buy' as suggested rods have often been replace by newer models (or no longer in production).  Plus the OP (hopefully) in an older thread already bought a rod so a waste replying years later.
