Been kinda lazy all winter.  Now I have to go into full production mode to play catch-up!

Starting off with a couple simple spinning builds.  I have 2 Sage Ones in the queue.  They will be a little more complicated than these.

I like the white finish but man you have keep stuff clean.

Yea.  I've found white blanks to be the toughest to build.  From showing every speck of dust to needing to be absolutely perfect on the wraps.  Dark blanks hide gaps.

What butt cap and trim piece is that on the Rodgeeks and where can I find it??

That is a Mudhole piece.  They sell just the ring or the whole assembly.  It is available in 5 colors.

That's kinda what I thought but it looks better in your pics than it does on the Web site. I have that trim ring on several builds in various colors. I was kinda hoping the rubber cap had some kind of cool insignia inside it. Thx

It just has a black resin covered sticker.  I'm sure it could be peeled off the aluminum backer and something else could be inlayed in it.  I haven't tried it yet.

I have to ask,  how do those slid locks work on the rainshadow rod?  I have seen you post them before But i would think that the reel would fall out often?

They work nicely.  I turn the cork so the rings are a little snug when installed, unlike factory rods, where they slide loosely.  I have never had a reel come loose while using them.

IMO, the people that say they don't like the rings cause the reel falls off have never had a grip with them fit properly.

Nice work as always Scott!  The owner of that Rainshadow is a lucky man and the owner of one of those Sage One customs you are going to do is really a lucky man. The only thing that would make him even luckier is if he had a NRX modification done to his 4wt.  ?

One might even say he's a Lucky Craft Man!
