cantkeepup Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 What do ya'll think is the best choice for the price? I'm kinda suck between a rock and a hard place thinking of if I should just throw in the extra dollars for the Curado or save some cash with buying a Citica... From what I can tell, they're VERY similar reels, but I'd like to hear if any of you have fished them and could tell me about 'em. Thanks a ton. Quote
cantkeepup Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 Wow, that's a sweet deal. But it looks like they're only carrying left handed Curados... Sadly I'm right handed. Guess they're out of stock for the time being. Thanks though. 1 Quote

smallie.mike Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Get whichever you can find cheaper! I have both and have taken both apart. Blindfolded you would never be able to tell the difference. The both are identical performance wise. The only difference is the 3 arb bearings on the curado vs 3 stainless steel bearings on the citica. To me the curado isn't worth 5 dollars more let alone the huge retail price difference. Keep checking ebay, I got my citica for 107 new. 1 Quote
Rbm18 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Unless you are going to fish salt water I would go with the citica . If you look around you can get one new for around $100 like smallie.mike said. Quote
AQUA VELVA Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I received a Curado I as a gift and it's a great reel but I wouldn't pay the going rate of $180. that I see in the catalogs. If you can snag one for around $129. as the above posts suggest then I would consider it. Quote
