EllisJuan Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I have become a big fan of this shop. They also have smoking deals on G Loomis rods. ~30% off IMX, GLX, and NRX rods. I have ordered 3 in the last few weeks and they have been great to deal with. 2 Quote

Brett's_daddy Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Did anybody notice the reels say 2014? I'm sure they're still excellent reels but if somebody was buying them thinking they're getting the newest tech reel they would be mistaken...these reels are 2 years old. I'm sure they're brand new in the box but they are holdovers from 2014 that haven't sold which is probably why they are being offered at a great price. Quote
offsidewing Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 It seems in terms of fishing reels the calendar year typically designates the year of the model's release, not necessarily a production date. To me this seems to be more prevalent in the JDM market. Some manufacturers build in sequencing into the model, eg the Stradic 2500FJ and Stradic 2500FK. Some don't, like the Antares DC and the Antares DC. The calendar year makes it easier to distinguish the model's year of release rather than having to learn each manufacturer's sequencing if it's not incorporated into the model name. 1 Quote
