How to fish Beaver soft plastic

Reaction Innovations makes the Sweet Beaver, I think that is what it's called. How do you fish this? With a bullet weight? Do you have a fave color?

Any number of ways. Weightless, T-Rigged or as a Trailer. Fun bait.

Do people usually fish it weightless, will it sink good enough?

I use it as a jig trailer and with a bullet weight with a flipping hook.  Green pumpkin is best for me.

My preferred way to fish them is with a small tungsten weight and pitched in shallow cover. Hematoma, roadkill and green pumpkin are my favorite colors

T rigged or on a swinging football head are my favorite ways to fish a beaver. Never tried one weightless but I'm sure it would work.

I fish it most often weightless. Simply drag it with little movements especially around man made structure where I usually find harder bottom.

I've used the Smallie Beaver as a jig trailer and on the back of a 1/4oz football head for river smallmouth. The Sweet Beaver I like on a swing jig like the Biffle Hard Head and I also like T-rigging it with a small weight.

I dunno if a lot of people do it, but I do it all the time and it works great for me. Also makes the bait easier to skip under things like docks or willow branches.  If you don't separate the front claws, they have a good gliding action that is hard to get with other baits.

Just picked up a pack of these today. Reaction innovation kinky Beaver (the one with 2 long tentacles in the middle). I got green pumpkin on one side and chartreuse on the other (forgot the name). I think I'm going to try it on a weighted (swim bait) hook for a horizontal fall.

They are my go to punch bait and have been for years. Really don't even consider anything else anymore. Combine the beaver with a G Money punch skirt and you have one deadly set up. 

 I used to use them also on the Biffle Hard Head swivel also but the Rage Bug have been my go to for that now. 

Tried it weightless a few times but when fishing  craw type bait, I'd rather have something with a little more tail actionn like the Rage Craw or Bug.
