You're late to the party. Some DSG are already letting you purchase them.

Got a little sneak peak at the Outdoor Expo today.

Felt nice, flat sides, bigger profile, 9mm. Really glided around in the tank.

Not for sale at Dsg. They have them but they're locked at the register until 2/29.

maybe yours...but others already have them for sale.

The register wouldn't ring the item until hard launch. Hard to beleive that would be localized to specific regions. Must be a computer error.

I took a look at them today at gander and wasn't super impressed with the finishes, but will pick a couple up before the opener. I have till May, and am hoping that DSG comes out with another coupon pack and I can pick those up and a few other items and get my ten bucks in reward dollars.

Also was annoyed that Gander had them labeled for 9.99 and all there other stuff was really expensive.

There's people on here and quite a few on other forums that got them from non classic expos, DSG, Gander MTN, Cabelas, etc a few days ago. Your DSG seems to be the outlier. At least you only have to wait another day.

I didn't mean anything by it. I just know 100% that DSGs specifically are not supposed to be selling these right now. Not even supposed to be on the floor. If they're ringing at registers its a computer error, or theyre overriding by using a similar UPC because they didnt read memo about keeping them from sales floor and now they have an angry customer and who cares anyways its not Jordans. I was just surprised to hear that so many stores hadnt gotten the memo AND ignored the register prompt. Then on top of that, that other big retailers weren't agreed to a hard launch either. There's something to be said that these are not advertised for sale yet anywhere. Just speaking purely as a vendor, if this were a Titleist or Nike product, those retaikers would be in trouble.

But anyways, its silly because its a launch date for a lure. Who cares amirite?

Watched the first impression video with Jacob Wheeler. Really not all that impressed with it. Will have to fish one for myself but it's probably a one and done for me.

But, but, it does stuff no other jerkbaits does

I like the size and taller profile, but to say no other jerkbait has a flutter and slow rise? Come on man.

I like the fact it floats up in a head first posture, and while it is rare for a bait to do that, it isn't the only one. The Bagley Spintail introduced late last year is more of a topwater bait but it will hit 2' feet and rise up head first just like the new SR Shad. I will get 2 to try out and see how it plays out, I know the shadow rap works for me, so I'll try it as it may be one of those all-season type jerkbaits that works equally as well in warm as it does cold water.

I don't fish jerkbaits too often but I imagine I'll probably buy one or two of these eventually and just see what their about. I actually like the shadow raps but I just never find myself throwing them too often which is mainly due to my lakes murky water. I have the best luck on the top of the water column or on the bottom, that middle area has always been difficult. I think the shallow version of this bait could be useful though. I think you could fish this past cover and then stop it and let it rise up and possibly pull a fish off the cover. I think fishing it in open water where fish are chasing shad could be interesting as well, I would get it under the shad and it let it rise head first up through the school. These of course aren't anything revolutionary in terms of technique or lure but I think its something the bait could do and potentially be effective at which is worth at least checking out in my opinion.

Looking at the colors on the TW site, the Molten Copper looks like a great color for lakes with Carp in them. I will be picking up the Shadow Rap and Shadow Rap Shad in this color.

I'm going to have to break after watching several different videos of the action and the raising action of this lure. I have a feeling I'll pick up three colors, and fish them in the river/lakes around me and end up gifting them to a fishing buddy of mine that swears by jerk baits.

Another jerk bait I'll knot catch a single fish on.  Nope, I've seen this at Gander Mountain Saturday and was tempted, but I remember buying last years new Rapala jerk bait and trying it out in the early spring and not getting a bite.  This new one looks a little more finesse but still, I'm not buying one and have sworn off all jerk baits this year.

This provides endless chuckle factor for me.  The BS surrounding it just cracks me up.

Don't swear off jerkbaits man, they are producers. Just takes a little work to get the feel for them.
