Hey guys, I'm looking into this for a very good friend of mine. Anyone know of any ponds in Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, or Walton county, Florida, that He can take is young son (who obviously doesn't have the longest length of patience) to catch a few fish, without the need of a boat to catch them...

There's a few lakes up in crestview you can bank fish. You can hit up blackwater river right there in Milton, easy access.

If you get an eglin permit, you can fish the lakes/ponds on the eglin afb property, which is gigantic. Many places.

Pier fishing, navarre pier, pensacola beach pier, bob sikes bridge, 3 mile bridge.

I've fished a lot of the ponds on Eglin, with very little success when it comes to bream and crappie... any tips? What lakes in Crestview? Besides Twin Hills, that is

there's some smaller ones on west side...look at google maps, I don't know their names...Juniper is a bigger one, I have not fished it, so it might be hit or miss.

There are some in defuniak also, king lake, I have fished, but in summer and full of weeds...been trying to get back in the spring, but never any time.

I know there are some decent spots(ponds) in milton, but I don't know anybody there to let me fish them, or they keep it a secret.

check out pensacola fishing forums, a lot of good people on there also that might give you some more info.
