shimmy Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Well, as some have noticed, I am trying to get rid of all the videos on my external hard drive and finally have time to make videos. The quality on this kinda sucks. Can't stand how some videos just won't transfer well to the tube. This reservoir used to drive me nuts. You could go all day without a bite and come back the next day and catch nothing. Good thing about fishing tough reservoirs is it gives you a chance to learn more about fishing structure. I eventually figured a few things out about this reservoir, but it came after a lot of failure. Enjoy! Shimmy 6 Quote
HookdUP Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Nice . Have heard good things about that lake Quote
DocMadz Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Beaverdam Reservoir is about 5 minutes from where I live and I go there pretty often. Just being there by the shore has a calm and tranquil feeling. But unfortunately it seems that the fish inside are the pickiest eaters this side of the northern hemisphere. I have thrown everything in my arsenal at them including wacky rigs, texas rigged senkos, spinnerbait, grubs, frog baits, and power lizards. They seem to care about none of these. I did get a bite once on a power worm but that was about it. Even a gentleman who kayak fishes almost daily there whom I had a small discussion the other day said nothing bites and even he tried many different methods, baits and fished during different times of the day. I'm about to Texas rig a small filet mignon, lobster tail and a nice flute of Krug to at least pick up something on the reservoir. I love that lake, I'm going to be pretty bummed out when it closes in November, but before that I would love to at least catch a few of its noble aquatic residents. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts to this dilemma? Thanks everyone, Keep those lines tight and keep ripping lips Quote
shimmy Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 The lake is very difficult and always has been. It was the tranquility that kept me coming back. It is hard from shore since so many fish stay off the shore throughout the day. Early morning and late in the evening draws the fish up shallow. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted June 26, 2016 Super User Posted June 26, 2016 Looks like you figured it out. Quality fish for N of the border. Quote
