Site/google search didn't reveal anything but maybe I am not using the right search terms. I recall seeing some on this problem. This is a large beetle spin grub (spinner bait) for bass and the tail of the grub has become bent into a semi-circle in the package. So, now, it won't run true. Anyone know how to make it stay straight?

Dip it in boiling water for a few seconds if your at home. Out on the water, I carry a gas grill lighter and hold it close enough to the flame to "straighten" it out without melting the plastic, or if it is a nice warm sunny day, put them in a plano box with the lid closed, and leave the box out on the deck of the boat in the sunlight, that softens them up and straightens them out nice. I have also tossed a pack of plastics up on the dashboard of my jeep on a warm day and that works too.

The concern for me is that the large beetle spin grub is stiffer plastic than something like a fluke.

Man, it really doesn´t matter, the least important part of a Beetle Spin is the grub, those twin tail hard plastic grubs do nothing and have no action at all, change the d**n thing for something else, something that actually has some action like a curlytail or paddle tail  grub.

Agreed, those things are pretty useless

Put a curly tail white or chartreuse grub on the hook and you'll catch more fish.
